(1) In case of violation of this Act or the rules made under this Act, the following departmental punishment may be imposed on the armed forest guard:-
(a) General Punishment :
(1) To give advice,
(2) writing an adverse opinion in a conduct report,
(3) Withholding not more than five pay increments,
(4) Withholding promotion for a maximum period of five years,
(5) Deduction of five salary increments at most,
(6) Present: Reduction to the original scale in which the vacancy occurred with seniority in the post.
(b) Special Punishment :
(1) Removal from service so as not to be disqualified for future government service,
(2) Dismissal from service in such a way as to disqualify him for future government service.
(2) In accordance with sub-section (1), the conditions, procedures and provisions regarding appeal shall be as prescribed.
